2007 Legislative Session

  • Cigar Association of America
    • Added an exemption for cigar bars in the expansion of Oregon's Indoor Clean Air Act
  • Oregon Head Start Association
    • Head Start in Oregon was expanded to 75% of all eligible children, allowing more kids to come to kindergarten ready to learn
  • Annheuser-Busch
    • Stopped legislators from numerous attempts to increase beer taxes on Oregon's unique brewing industry
  • National Federation of Indepedent Business
    • Initiated legislation and bipartisan support to create an independent oversight on companies that receive public contracts based on workers with disabilities.
  • Reynolds American
    • Prevented Legislative attempts to increase taxes on working Oregonians through a cigarette tax without approval from Oregon voters
  • Industrial Customers of Northwest Utilities
    • Forced Legislators to hold multiple public hearings and work sessions to amend a bill that would have raised rates for customers of Oregon utilities. The final version of the Oregon Renewable Energy Act was significantly modified to allow local utilities the ability to invest in current renewable energy methods.

2006 General Election

  • Allstate Insurance
    • Successfully worked to defeat Measure 42, a ballot initiative that would have raised insurance rates by preventing insurance companies the ability to use credit scoring in determining rates and premiums

2004 General Election

  • SAIF Corporation/National Federation of Independent Business
    • Protected small business by defeating Ballot Measure 38, which would have abolished SAIF corporation and transferred many employers with insurance plans to other workers' compensation providers.
